5 kW Net Metering Tracker & EV Charger
Georgian College
Interesting Fact: Georgian College strives to be a leader in environmental sustainability and has been named one of Canada’s greenest employers multiple times.
Project Details: Donated by Direct Energy, both the solar tracking and ev charging units provide hands-on learning opportunities for students while also helping the environment. As the local solar expert, Blackline Power was proud to win the competitive bid to procure and build this project.
11 kW Net Metering, Zero Export & EV Charger
Meaford
Interesting Fact: SolarEdge, our preferred residential inverter manufacturer, developed the world’s first EV charging PV inverter. It is available in several sizes and can charge vehicles up to 2.5 times faster than a standard Level 1 charger. It is also less expensive to install a charger in combination with a solar system versus as a separate stand-alone unit later. An additional dedicated circuit breaker is not needed, saving space and eliminating a potential service panel upgrade.
Project Details: This client was interested in a full array of solar services. They had pre-ordered a Tesla and wanted a solar system that could efficiently charge their new car, offset as much electricity usage as possible, and have the option to add a high voltage battery/storage unit in the future. Blackline Power installed two SolarEdge inverters: a 7.6 kW StorEdge that is battery-ready and a 3.8 kW integrated charger.
7.6 kW Net Metering & EV Charger
Tobermory
Interesting Fact: About 40% of the clients we have installed ev chargers for don’t yet have an electric vehicle, but they understand the value of having a charger for friends and family, their future car, and for real estate value.
Project Details: Within a year of having Blackline Power install their rooftop solar system and integrated SolarEdge inverter charger, this client purchased an electric vehicle. The charger can be either operated on site in their garage or remotely via an app on their smart phone.
